Life and Times of a Teenage Nerd

 Let the Good Times Roll On...No Longer a High School Senior
Back to Full Blog

I got my new sheep!!! I have named her Rosalie, after Rosalie Hale from Twilight by Stephenie Meyer!

She didn't eat her food the first couple of times, but she seems to love alfalfa. Now she's a total pig and is eating the sheep feed as well. This morning, she had alfalfa all over her head. She's a messy eater!

Well, today was the last day of school. It was "senior check out day" for all of the seniors. We had to go to ALL of our classes and have our teachers sign us out and write whether we'd passed their class or not. I'll go through each period.

Period 1: Dawn and I passed AP Statistics! YAY!!! She got 100 on the final, and I got 96. (It was outta like 150 or something...) I don't know what my actual grade turned out to be, but I do know that I passed! The teacher got all teary-eyed when everybody left her class. She made me want to cry as well!

Period 2: I took down some artwork from the wall for the Art teacher that I was a teacher's aide for. Then another girl and I took her Study Hall books back to the library. Somehow, she got ahold of a Spanish book that hasn't even been used yet. It was a brand new book without a barcode or anything! The librarians were very confused on how she'd gotten ahold of it. The teacher gave me a congrats for graduating card, and inside was a $20 Borders gift card. I'm totally spending it on Cats of the Clan, the new book out by Erin Hunter that tells about the cats in the four Clans of the series.

Period 3: Ag 4! I went on the computer and checked my e-mail. Then I wrote some more for my Warriors fanfiction series. That was all I did...and I forgot to get the teacher to sign my yearbook!

Period 4: English. The teacher passed out printer paper and told kids to write something nice for her. I got out some markers and made her a pretty awesome piece of paper saying thanks for such a great senior year. She gave everybody hugs as we all walked out of the door.

Then we had lunch. Dawn, Tailor, and I were sitting laughing and having a good time when Steven showed up. I don't know if he deliberately showed up or not, but he sat down and hung with us. We had tons of laughs and Dawn and I told Steven that he has to read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series.

Period 5: Steven and I walked to Astronomy together. The teacher had us fill out a suvery about what was good and what was bad about the schedule that the school has been using for the past ten or fifteen years. Then we watched an episode of The Simpsons. I doodled cats and birds and stuff while we were watching. Steven read the Prologue I had written for Warriors #3 Tricks of Magick, the third book in my Warriors fanfiction series. He said it was really good and that I was really good at capturing the evilness of the DarkClan (evil) characters.

Period 6: Steven and I walked to Economics together. I explained some aspects of my Warriors fanfiction that he was confused about, since he hasn't read the first two books in my series. Economics was awesome. We chatted a little bit, argued over which movie we were going to watch, and then eventually watched half an hour of Cars. The teacher thanked me for returning to his class, even though I'd already taken Economics the first semester and didn't need to take it again. (I chose to because I had 3 friends in the class and the teacher is just that awesome.)

Period 7: Diana and I played hangman. She had "I like bananas" and I had "I want to cry, I'm so happy!" We also played a word game where one of us would start a sentence, and we'd take turns adding a word to each sentence. We came up with some pretty funny sentences.

Period 8: I went with Diana to the gym to have our papers get finished signing. By that time, it was half an hour before school officially got out. I was supposed to ride the bus home, but I didn't feel like riding the bus after my last day of high school. So, I waited around trying to find Steven to ask for a ride home, but he disappeared. So I walked to the library, checked out a bunch of books, and got something to eat and drink at the gas station right next to the library.

It was a nice day. I almost started crying while I was sitting in Photography, though. Good thing I was alone!

I can't believe my high school days are over! I'm really going to miss it.

::cries::sobs::

Can you tell that I like school?

Steven said he was really sad, too. We're both such study-oriented people.

I can't believe it!!!

::cries::sobs::

I had such a wonderful time. Sure, my 9th and 10th grade years weren't the best, but overall it was pretty awesome. My senior year was definitely the best. The JPL trip...my birthday party...the prom...Fanimecon...becoming friends with Steven...hanging with Dawn and Tailor...watching Dawn perform for Color Guard...

::cries::sobs::

Okay, I'm done. I'm going to go now before I really start to cry!

I wish it didn't have to end.
