Life and Times of a Teenage Nerd

 Diving into the World of Harry Potter

My shoulder hurts. I've been on the computer on and off all day.

I'm working on a Harry Potter fanfiction that probably won't be finished, considering I have no idea what the plot is going to be. My dad borrowed the Harry Potter 5 movie. I watched it with my brother and suddenly, I remembered (again) why I like Harry Potter so much. I decided to reread the 7th book. And then I got to thinking about the children in the epilogue, and a story idea came into my head. I've been gathering notes off the Internet to try and make my nineteen-years-later fanfiction about Albus Severus Potter work out.

I'm not having much luck.

I wish I could write like J.K. Rowling does. But I can't, so I have to deal with my own writing. I'm improving, I have to say, but it takes time for me to grow out of bad habits.

I'm trying to write in the style of Rowling in my HP fanfiction, but it's difficult. She writes like ["We have Herbology next!" said Albus.] while I write like ["We have Herbology next!" Albus said.] It gets confusing having to switch the way I write. But (fingers crossed) I hope this fanfiction comes out okay.

I'm THINKING of using a modified plot of my other HP fanfiction series, which I've abandoned. J.K. killed off the two characters who were essential for the birth of my main character. Blerg.

So, that's what I've been doing all day...diving into the complex world of Harry Potter! Believe me, it isn't as easy as it would seem. Rowling sure knew what she was doing when she created the wizarding world! It's like trying to learn French all over again, except I'm learning about an imaginary world!

I just hope that, someday, I can create my own, complex world for other people to write fanfictions about.

::starts daydreaming::

I had a dream this morning about a guy named Bamboo! He entered this fantasy world and fell in love with a princess. He returned to earth as a king and a mechanical raccoon bowed to him in front of all these people. Pretty weird, huh? I'm thinking of writing a story about it.

Me and my weird dreams...

 Fridays are Awesome

Three day weekend! Oh, yeah!

::dances::

I love three day weekends!

It was so awesome in my Economics class today! My best friend Dawn and my two friends, Mel and Steven, all got permission from the teacher to move from their seats to my side of the room, so we all sit in a square now! We almost got in trouble for talking, but we're all good students and shut up pretty fast when the teacher started talking.

After school, I went to the local public library with my friend Tailor. We hung out and talked after we'd picked out some books. (I was disappointed to find that my local library doesn't have New Moon by Stephenie Myer! Grrr! ) Then my mom picked me up. My brother wasn't at Starbucks like he said he was going to be, so we sat in the parking lot waiting for him when my mom saw Tailor walking by. She came with us to the pet store so my mom could buy crickets for my brother's lizard. Then we picked up my brother, dropped Tailor off at her house, and came home.

Dawn and I made plans for her to come over to my house on Monday. She needs me to help her with her English essay because she's terrible at English and I love English. She calls me an English Nazi because I love English so much. We'll work on our Economics vocab homework, too. Then, we'll probably go on the Internet and find more pictures for the Warrior Clan that she and I made up.

The Clan is called IceClan and is full of our friends, family, and even some teachers from our high school, who we turned into cats. We take the people, give them a Warrior name, and look on the Internet for a cat picture we think fits them. It's tons of fun! Dawn is Rootstar, the leader of IceClan. I'm Gingerheart, the deputy. I can't wait until we finish with all the pictures!

Well, that's all that's happened today. I'm going to go surf the Internet! Buh-bye!

 Rambling

Today was...how do I describe it? It was...boring.

I've been so tired lately! I'm getting my normal amount of sleep every night, so maybe I'm just stressed out over something.

Could be that photography project that I'm lagging behind on.
I'm not the type of person who just doesn't do her school work. I'm a good student. I do the work in a class where the other kids just goof off and use the time as a time to hang out.

I'm so weird, I know.

This is my first time being on a blog site, and I don't even have that much to write for my first blog.

Blerg. I want to go to sleep.

This week has been a "spirit week" at my school because of Winter Formal coming up. I'm not going to Winter Formal! Anyway, today was "er" day, which meant we could dress up as something that ended in "er." Of course, being the average teenagers, there are a couple of hook"er"s and stripp"er"s. But, being the angel that I am, I went as a lead"er" cat from the Warriors book series by Erin Hunter. (It's a book about wild cats, for those who are bothering to read this and don't know what it is.) My best friend was supposed to dress up, too, but she lost her cat ears. So, I was a lonesome warrior leader today. Oh, well. My other friend was a cosplay"er" and yet another one of my friends went as a butch"er." I saw a dance"er" and a surf"er" and a whole bunch of other people dressed with things that end in "er."

Yeah, my school is weird.

I'd better get going. It's 9:20 and I don't want to be on the computer too long.

G'night!
